Viterbo University’s annual Homecoming celebration on Saturday, Feb. 15, will feature induction of four new honorees to the Wall of Fame.
New Wall of Fame inductees include the following:
- Chad Miller, the winningest coach in Viterbo baseball history, who capped his ninth and final season as head coach in 2014 by leading the team to a program record 34 wins and their first conference championship in 23 seasons.
- Steph Wisen, a member of the women’s soccer team from 2010-2013 who set the high mark for career assists (43) and ranks second in points (145) and third in goals scored (51). She led the team to a conference championship in 2012, earning conference Player of the Year honors.
- Katie Flock was three times named all-conference during her time playing for the women’s volleyball team (2009-2012), leading the V-Hawks to their first conference tournament championship her senior year. She is the only player in program history to reach 1,100 kills and 1,000 digs.
- Joe Dunham played on the men’s basketball team from 1983-1985, becoming the first player to reach 1,000 points in two seasons and setting a free-throw percentage record. Dunham has established several scholarship funds for basketball players and business students and is being honored for meritorious service to Viterbo athletics.
The induction ceremony starts at 10 a.m. in the Fine Arts Center FSPA Lobby. Hors d'oeuvres will be served.
In addition, the V-Hawks host their annual Homecoming Day games later that day. The women's basketball team hosts Presentation College in the Varsity Athletics Center at 4 p.m., while the men's basketball team will face the Saints starting at 6 p.m.
At halftime of the men’s basketball game, the 1999 men’s soccer team, which won a third consecutive conference title, will be honored. A luncheon beginning at 11:45 a.m. also will honor the 1999 soccer team. Luncheon cost is $16 and registration and payment is required by Friday, Feb. 7.
A social with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be held after the men’s basketball game in the Skogen Family Welcome Center at the Reinhart Center. While there is no charge, people who plan to attend are asked to RSVP online by Feb. 7 or by calling 608-796-3076 or emailing alumni@viterbo.edu.
