Author, actor, comedian, viral sensation, and activist Tyler Merritt will present “Themes from I Take My Coffee Black” at Viterbo University at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre. The event will also be streamed on Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/viterboethics.
Leave the Light On, an exhibit of paintings by Viterbo faculty member and alumna Kira Peters, will open with a reception from 5–7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 in the Viterbo University Gallery. The show will run until Wednesday, Oct. 26. There is no admission fee to the gallery, which is located on the third floor of the Viterbo Fine Arts Center. Viterbo Leads is a new initiative to help build the next generation of women leaders in higher education through one-on-one mentorship and group enrichment sessions. This program targets early career professionals and will help those involved explore and expand their network and develop their career trajectory. Mid-way through the year, participants will be paired one on one with a campus leader.
Nominations and self-nominations are open and final selection will be Sept. 30. The mentorship program will begin in late October with a cohort of 10–15. This program is a joint effort of the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the College of Business, Leadership, Ethics and Education.
