7 p.m. Keith Knutson’s Presentation on Supreme Court Justice John Marshall Harlan: “The Great Dissenter” – RCE 134 – From From 1878 until 1911 Harlan stood alone against the eight other Supreme Court Justices as they determined segregation was consistent with our Constitution. This presentation is Viterbo University’s obligatory recognition of Constitution Day, which is Saturday Sept. 19.

Coming up:
About 60 local students in grades 1–12 will perform in the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s production of Hansel and Gretel Saturday, Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts.
The first concert of the Out of Our Minds Chamber Series will feature the talents of Polish cellist Magdalena Sas with Viterbo pianist Mary Ellen Haupert. Their program, “Magnificent Women,” will be performed in Viterbo University’s Nola Starling Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.
The Viterbo community and the public are invited to attend the Hispanic Heritage Month Community Reception from 6–8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19 in the Nursing Center lobby. This event includes short presentations from local organizations, music, and refreshments. This event is free and open to the public.
On Friday, Sept. 16 Bethany St. Joseph will be on campus in the NRC lobby from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. with free pizza and information about open positions at their locations.
Registration is open for the first ever Inauguration Games Kickball Tournament. Student and employee teams are needed to compete on Oct. 13, 3–7 p.m. Dinner will be provided by the Aramark team at 4:30 p.m. in Assisi Courtyard. Each participating team will receive a free t-shirt and the champions will walk away with a trophy and bragging rights. Sign up as either an individual or as a team of 10. Viterbo 2023 Spanish Study Abroad program application deadline is coming up on Oct. 1. This program will take place in Zamora, Spain, offering six credits of the language from 100 to 300 levels. Program dates are May 15–June 15. Scholarships are available. For more details click here.
