On Wednesday, Oct. 6 there will be 2–3 pet therapy dogs in Assisi Courtyard from 3–5 p.m. for students to pet to help relieve stress and anxiety.
The Hospitality Committee is sponsoring a food and toiletries drive for the Houska Park residents and the campus food pantries at Franny Fest. Stop by their table and drop off any of the following items: sandwich bags, Ziploc bags, travel/small hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, dry shampoo, feminine products), small winter clothes (socks, gloves, hats, masks, earmuffs), individually-wrapped non-perishable food items (chips, bars, crackers, fruit snacks), bread, and sandwich ingredients (peanut butter/jelly, deli meat, cheese slices, lettuce, vegetables).
Thursday, Oct 7 is Viterbo’s annual Day of Giving. Stop by the FSPA lobby between 10–4 p.m. to make a gift in person, enjoy light refreshments, and watch the total donations grow. Visit dayofgiving.viterbo.edu to make a gift now.
Students planning to apply to the Professional Nursing Sequence for spring 2022 should plan to attend the Application Process for the Professional Nursing Sequence session Wednesday, Oct. 6, 3:30–4:30 p.m. in NRC 195. There will be a second session on Oct. 12 held virtually via Zoom (meeting ID: 961 5772 2162 Passcode: 256472).

The Copy and Mail Center would like to remind everyone to include their last name on order entry forms. The mailroom currently has four packages with only a first name. There are packages for Brittany, Amy, Leila, and Stephanie Blonigan ready for pickup. There is also a package from Sam’s Club with no name attached that is ready for pickup. Students interested in participating in a study on the relationship between diet trends and social media usage should complete this survey. Participants must be between the ages of 18–23 and be enrolled as an undergraduate at Viterbo. The survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. Students interested in participating in a four-week dietetic research study on sodium intake should contact Bria Ferns at 320-493-1562 or bferns77211@viterbo.edu for more information. At least eight students are needed. Participants will complete a survey, participate in a free nutrition education session, and meet with dietetic interns over the course of the study via Zoom.
