7–10 a.m. – Transfer Appreciation Event: Good Morning, Transfers – Brophy Center Lobby – Transfer students can stop by for coffee, snacks, and conversation. There will be a drawing, information, and buttons available for all transfer students.

9–11 a.m. – Morning MUG – Campus Ministry

Noon–6 p.m. – Conservatory for the Performing Arts Halloween Costume Sale – Fine Arts Center basement (outside the costume shop)

Noon – Daily Mass – San Damiano Chapel

1 p.m. – Men’s Soccer vs. Morningside – Outdoor Athletics Complex

2–4 p.m. – Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic – MRC 340 – Cost for flu shot is $8 for students and $18 for employees. If an employee has VU insurance, the cost is covered. If student is in TRIO, there is no cost. No appointments are necessary. 

3 p.m. – Women’s Soccer vs. Morningside – Outdoor Athletics Complex

7 p.m. – Ethics Lecture “The Declaration of Independence Today” with Danielle Allen – Fine Arts Center Main Theatre

9 p.m. – Praise and Worship – San Damiano Chapel

 

Coming up:

The Education Club is looking for volunteers for their annual Safe Trick or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 12–2 p.m. in Assisi Courtyard. Volunteer opportunities include handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, running Halloween games, and creating decorations for the event. The Viterbo community is invited to celebrate the life of Mark James Seitz on Friday, Oct. 22 from 4–6 p.m. at Halfway Creek Park, 211 Pool Street, Holmen. A park bench will be dedicated in Mark’s honor.

Viterbo’s Student Theatre Project is holding auditions Oct. 22 and Oct. 23 in FAC 129 for their first cabaret entitled, "Never Would I Ever." This will be a cabaret of songs that individuals would normally not sing or roles they would not be cast in the industry because of age, type, etc. (*Use your best judgement when picking material and steer away from material that is telling a story not meant for you to tell*). Students should prepare a minute cut of a song they would be interested in performing for the cabaret. Students are asked to provide their own accompaniment or track for the audition. Notices:

Physical Plant will be performing tree trimming in parking lot A on Friday, Oct. 22. Parking near the center islands will be limited.

Physical plant staff will be testing the fire sprinkler alarm systems throughout campus on Friday, Oct. 22. This is a required quarterly test. The alarms will sound briefly in each building. There is no need to evacuate unless additional instructions are given. This process will begin at 7 a.m. in the academic buildings followed by the residence halls.

On Friday, Oct. 22 after 11 a.m. there will be a few old classroom chairs for giveaway behind Canticle on a first come, first served basis.

Today is the last day of National Transfer Student Appreciation Week. Thanks to all transfer students who have participated in this week’s events. We have enjoyed celebrating you.
