Health Services will be offering flu shot clinics on Tuesday, Oct. 12 from 9–11 a.m. in Brophy 124 and Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 4–6 p.m. in the Student Union. Cost is $8 for students, $18 for employees. Undergraduate advisors are invited to attend the Advising Neurodiverse Students advisor development session Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 11:15 a.m. in Murphy Center 346. This session, facilitated by Lisa Konkel, will review neurodiversity, summarize challenges commonly faced by neurodiverse college students, and share strategies for advisors to use as they become champions for the neurodiverse student.
Sigma Theta Tau Pi Phi chapter presents their fall event, “Supporting our New Grad RN’s – Finding Success when Entering the Workforce.” All are welcome to attend this social gathering in the Assisi Courtyard this Thursday, Oct. 14 from 3–5 p.m. This meet and greet and educational session will feature a panel of Pi Phi board members discussing some of the most crucial skills new nurses should have as they enter the workforce, recommendations to increase stamina and vitality, and growth and development tips from experienced nurses. Lawn games, pizza, and socialization will follow the discussion. A limited number of free gifts will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. Come learn about Sigma, an organization dedicated to developing nurse leaders anywhere to improve health care everywhere.
Learn about forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku –– an emersion or bathing of the senses with mindfulness) and how to bring it indoors on Oct. 14 from 6–6:30 p.m. in Murphy 346. Forest bathing has been widely used in Japan and in Europe as a prescription for overcoming stress, anxiety, and depression, among other physiological ailments. Participants will be guided through an indoor forest bathing meditation. The session is facilitated by Michelle Floersch and Beth Walker Stephenson.

Military aligned students and families are welcome to wing night at the Recovery Room Sports Pub and Grill on Oct. 13 from 4:30–6:30 p.m. All you can eat wings will be available and drinks must be purchased.
Commencement reminders: The deadline for employees to rent academic regalia through the bookstore is Friday, Oct. 15. Employees whose spouse or child will be graduating in December have the opportunity to present their diploma cover during the commencement ceremony. Any Viterbo employee interested in presenting a family diploma cover must notify the commencement committee by Friday, Oct. 15. Academic regalia is required and may be rented from the bookstore.
