3 p.m. Doctor of Nursing Practice Students DNP project final defense by students Megan Bisson and Alex Theisen – “In adults ≥ 18 years old undergoing elective total hip or knee arthroplasty at a Midwestern hospital, does administration of standard of care preoperative antibiotics 0-23 minutes prior to first surgical incision, compared to administering antibiotics 24-60 minutes prior to incision, decrease the rate of postoperative SSI and patient length of stay by 25% in the first 30 days following surgery?” The Viterbo community is invited to attend virtually. Attend the annual Veterans Day Service hosted by Viterbo Military Aligned Student Support and Campus Ministry Nov. 11. The ceremony will run from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. and will feature guest speaker and Viterbo alumnus MSgt Jaqueline Franck, Wisconsin Air Force National Guard. The ceremony will honor U.S. military veterans, and Viterbo faculty, staff, and students who are veterans will be recognized. In-person attendance is limited to 50 participants.
