First-year Music Theatre Department students will perform short selections of solo songs Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. in the FAC LaCroix Black Box Theatre. Welcome these students to the Viterbo community by cheering them on in the first ever First Year Cabaret. Free admission, seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Masks required.

Faculty: The Board of Trustees Presidential Search Committee Faculty Listening Session will be held Thursday, Nov. 4 from 3:30–4:30 p.m. in School of Nursing Building Collins Auditorium room 196. Faculty members who are unable to attend this session may submit written comments using this anonymous survey link.

Book Club is meeting for the first time Thursday, Nov. 4 in Brophy Center 123 from 7–8 p.m. Attend for discussion about any good books you've read lately and to learn more about the club.

Employees are invited to join Rick Trietley for a Conversations with the President session from 9–10 a.m. Nov. 4 in BRC 124. These sessions are not required, but offer an opportunity for some employees to have individual and small group discussions with the president. Rick will be available during these times and dates for employees to have one-on-one discussions, share good ideas or employee concerns. No RSVP is necessary.

A third community event organized by UW-La Crosse, Viterbo University and Western Technical College will explore the history of refugees in the United States and the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan. The event, “Voices of Uprising: Refugees and the 20-year Conflict in Afghanistan,” is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, in room 1300 (Hall of Nations) of UWL’s Centennial Hall.  Those who cannot attend in person can view a livestream of the event at www.viterbo.edu/afghansupport. Sign up for yogalates and join the yogalates challenge to win cool prizes. Classes run every Monday and Thursday 7–8 p.m. with the challenge ending Nov. 26. To participate in the challenge, sign up online then attend a class. At every class attended, participants add their name to the drawing at the end of the challenge.

Employees: The Hospitality Committee is hosting a fall potluck Monday, Nov. 8 from noon–1 p.m. in the Nursing lobby and Nursing 195. At the potluck there will be an opportunity to write thank you cards to veteran Viterbo community members in honor of upcoming Veterans Day.
