Give back to families that need it the most this Christmas season. There are two opportunities located in the Murphy Center Lobby. Help make a child’s Christmas a little brighter this year by supporting the Salvation Army’s Angel Giving Tree project. Tags are available to support local children with a gift of needed clothing items. Each tag is identified with a child’s first name, age, size and clothing needs.   Gifts are asked to be brought back to the Murphy Center tree by Wednesday, Dec. 9. All gifts will be delivered to the Salvation Army by December 11 for distribution. A second tree will be in Murphy Center Lobby for those interested in helping keep community members warm this winter. Donations of adult and children sized hats, mittens and gloves can be placed on or under this tree. Bring your donations back to the tree by Wednesday, Dec. 9. All items will be given to the Warming Center and other local charities for distribution.
