A virtual Opioid and Behavioral Health Summit will be hosted on Friday, March 12. The Viterbo VOICE (Vital Opioid Instruction through Community-based Experiential Training) Initiative is hosting the Summit along with the local Alliance to Heal project. Topics on the agenda cover the cycle of addiction, recovery stories and stigma, health equity for the homeless, and more. The summit is free and open to all. Environmental Health, Human Health and Ecosystems: Do you have an interest in improving/protecting/learning more about the environment or wish you could incorporate more environmental awareness into the classroom and/or at home? Mindful Connections. Have you wanted to try meditation but didn't know where to start? Attend a brief introductory session to see how quieting your mind through meditation, even for a few minutes, can be helpful in  daily living, both in and out of the workplace. Wednesday, March 10 at 3 p.m. via Zoom. The Student Sustainability Club is promoting 2021 Wisconsin Water Week “Navigating in Turbulent Times” by inviting everyone to attend some of the virtual presentations from the Driftless Region (south western Wisconsin). Career Services’ Tip o’ the Day: Getting geared up for an interview? You need to practice first.  Prepare by using the Interview Stream software that will allow you to do a mock interview in the privacy of your own home. You can even record it and request feedback. Let the Career Services staff help you ace that next interview.

COVID-19 has continued to affect college-aged students in numerous ways. Students are researching how food availability has affected college students during campus closures. This survey is anonymous, and the data received will help researchers understand the need for both continued and new advertisement and support of the Viterbo food pantries. Beginning Monday, March 15, all campus academic buildings will be Viterbo ID access only beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday–Friday. Students will have card access from 6:30–11 p.m. On weekends, the academic buildings will be closed with card access only from 7 a.m.–11 p.m. The library is already only accessible with a Viterbo ID. If you need an ID, email Dawn Popp in the physical plant office at dmpopp@viterbo.edu. IDs can be created by emailing a photo.
