Coming up:

The music department will present a Showcase Recital featuring their first and second year music majors Saturday, April 2 at 7 p.m. in the Nola Starling Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Center. The students will perform both classical and musical theatre repertoire. It is free and open to the public with a reception to follow.

A generous employee has gifted two free tickets to students for a rescheduled show on Wednesday, April 6, Recycled Percussion, in the FAC Main Theatre. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis; interested students are invited to stop by the Student Life Office in Murphy Center 228 to pick them up.

Holocaust survivor Peter Feigl is ill and will be unable to appear at Viterbo University Thursday, March 31. Filling in will be author Alexandra Zapruder, who will speak at 7 p.m. in the Viterbo Fine Arts Center Main Theatre. The event will also be streamed on Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/viterboethics.

All faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend the second event in the NetworkNite @ VU event series hosted by the College of Business, Leadership, and Ethics; the MBA/MASL Alumni Chapter; and Graduate Admissions. Join for an evening of networking and a mini-masterclass on Communication and Improv for Business Leaders with guest speaker Erin Jerozal, Chair of the Theatre and Music Theatre Department. The Viterbo community is invited to a book club on April 12 from 11:15 a.m.–12:10 p.m. in MRC 348 to discuss Thomas Moore's book, A Life at Work: The Joy of Discovering what you were Born to Do. In addition to a lively discussion, there will also be food provided. Tyler Flockhart and John Robinson will be facilitating. Come regardless of whether you are able to finish the book. The topic, finding one's calling, is relatable to everyone.

Join the Viterbo University Conservatory for the Performing Arts and Wonderstruck Theatre Co. as they present the world premiere of The Elephant Speaks Jazz, Friday, April 1–Sunday, April 3 and Saturday, April 9–Sunday, April 10 in the Weber Center for the Performing Arts Lyche Theatre.

Experience non-stop, high-energy junk rock music appropriate for all ages as international phenomenon Recycled Percussion performs at Viterbo University at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

The Viterbo University Music Department presents Just My Imagination, a performance featuring Dave Marck and Tim Harrison on Friday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Nola Starling Recital Hall. This event is a benefit for Viterbo’s Platinum Edition show choir.

Students: VUSM-205 Living in a Diverse World Away will be going to Thailand in Spring 2023. This course will provide comprehensive overview of Hmong history in Wisconsin, especially La Crosse, and culminate in a two week trip through northern Thailand to learn about the Hmong and other Hill Tribes, as well as visiting temples, markets, and industries. Applications will be available in the fall 2022 semester and due Oct.1. Interested students who want to learn more can contact faculty member Lin Rauch or Marlene De La Cruz-Guzman. Additional information will be included on the Study Abroad website.
