The ACHA-NCHA survey that was to be sent to all students on March 28–March 11 will be changed to March 28–April 8 due to issues at the American College Health Association. Watch for this important survey on the new dates. 

There is still time to donate to or join the Viterbo V-Hawks for a Cause Polar Plunge team to support WI Special Olympics. You do not need to jump in the water to support the team. Join the team in support or jumping by registering here https://www.classy.org/team/399645 and attending the plunge on Saturday, March 5 at Black River Beach. The Environmental Responsibility Committee and Student Sustainability Club members are seeking nominations for the Spirit of St. Francis Sustainability Award. Nominees can include students, faculty, staff, FSPA members, campus groups, etc. Nominees should meet one or more of the following criteria: conducts research on the environment/sustainability; promotes sustainability through projects, programs, innovative solutions, or studies; or collaborates within and around the Viterbo community to promote sustainable change. Nominations are due Friday, April 1.

The Viterbo VOICE Opiod and Behavioral Health Summit will take place Friday, March 11 from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. via Zoom. The Opioid and Behavioral Health Summit fosters inter-professional collaboration and brings together interdisciplinary practitioners, students, and faculty to increase depth of knowledge regarding opioid and substance use services. Register now for the “What’s in Our Water” Agnes W.H. Tan Science Symposium March 24–25. The symposium will begin with a lecture by Erin Brockovich at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre and streamed on Facebook Live. The March 25 schedule will begin at 9 a.m. with a keynote presentation by Jeannie Purchase, an engineer, citizen scientist, and advocate. On Thursday, March 3 1:30–3:30 p.m. Campus Safety, Physical Plant, and Student Life will be conducting fire drills in the on-campus resident halls and apartments. During the fire drills, participants evacuate to the designated rally points. The rally point for campus apartments and dorms will be parking lot Q.

Come learn about the Student Veterans of America (SVA) Club of Viterbo University at Campus Ministry on Thursday, March 3 from 10 a.m.–noon Thursday, March 3. James Michael and Fransico Perez will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have at their booth inside Campus Ministries about the SVA Club. Campus Ministries will also be serving free hot food during this time. All are welcome, and even if you are not a Veteran but love Veterans, the SVA Club wants to talk to you about what we do. Opportunities to get involved with the club include being a member to holding being an Officer. I look forward to explaining what the SVA is currently doing and how you can get involved in an organization that focuses on the success of Student Veterans all over the nation."

University of Wisconsin department of wildlife ecology professor Timothy Van Deelen will present “Thinking Like a Mountain but Asking the Wrong Questions” as part of the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership’s spring lecture series at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 3 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Nola Starling Recital Hall. The Breaking Barriers Diversity Club has partnered with other campus clubs and departments, UW-L, and WTC to bring the workshop Black + Mental Health+ Matters to Viterbo on Thursday, March 3 from 6–8 p.m. in 196 NursingRegistration is free. This workshop is co-hosted by the non-profit organization Art with Impact. While this event centers Black students, all campus community members are invited to attend. However, comments or participation from allies that pull focus away from Black mental health will be respectfully redirected.

Messages from the Copy and Mail Center: Any package to be delivered to the Viterbo campus should be addressed to 900 Viterbo Drive, La Crosse, WI 54601. Packages with other campus addresses delivered on Saturdays have been left at the Student Union and some have gone missing. In addition, the Copy and Mail Center has packages for Catherine, Amy, and Sarah that remain unclaimed.
