Physical Plant staff will be testing the fire sprinkler alarm systems throughout campus on Tuesday, March 15. This is a required quarterly test. The alarms will sound briefly in each building. There is no need to evacuate unless additional instructions are given. The process will begin at 7 a.m. in the academic buildings followed by the residence halls. The buildings impacted by this are: Bonaventure Hall/Student Union, Marian Hall, Rose Terrace, Clare Apartments, Mathy Center/Varsity Athletics, School of Nursing, Fine Arts Center, Reinhart Center, and La Verna Apartments.

IIT will be conducting a number of updates over spring breakOn Wednesday, March 16 from 8 a.m.-noon: Printing to network attached printers and usage of multi-function devices for printing, emailing, or copying will be down as we update the servers responsible for that functionality. This includes services offered in the Copy and Mail Center. Wednesday, March 16 from 5:30-10 p.m.: Network updates will occur causing internet access from on campus as well as off-campus access to on-site systems to experience periodic outages. Plan accordingly for these outages. As always, you can monitor Is It Down for planned or unexpected system/network outages.

Sophomore Students are invited to join their fellow sophomores to enjoy a free meal and spend some time with their professors the first night back from spring break, Monday, March 21 at 6 p.m. in RCE 134. The mood will be casual, and participants will have a chance to get to know faculty, meet new people (feel free to bring your sophomore friends and come as a group), ask questions (e.g., Should I take a minor? What is that class like? Where do I go to find information about internships?), and eat something tasty. Email AcademicsOffice@viterbo.edu by Tuesday, March 15 to let us know if you can attend and if you have any dietary restrictions.

Nursing Practice Interviews will be on Thursday, April 21 from 3–4:30 p.m. with professional recruiters from Gundersen, UW Health, Ascension, and other organizations. This virtual opportunity is open to all years. Only 15 slots available, sign up now at: https://rb.gy/eyergz.

Construction on the library begins Monday, March 14 and will continue throughout the month. During this time, the first floor area may be inaccessible, so use other study areas in the library. The library suggests signing up for a study room or using Robers Silent Study. To get to the second floor, you may need to use the elevator.

The Artaria String Quartet will perform their final concert in this spring's complete Beethoven string quartets on Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m. in the Nola Starling Recital Hall. Tickets can be purchased at the Viterbo University Box Office or online.

The Viterbo community is invited to attend the “What’s in Our Drinking Water” Agnes W.H. Tan Science Symposium at Viterbo University Friday, March 25. In-person and virtual options are available. Click here for more information and a schedule of events.
