Coming up:

Counseling services walk-in/crisis counseling hours for spring 2022 will begin officially on Jan. 24. Morning hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 9–10 a.m. and afternoon hours are Monday–Thursday from 3–5 p.m. If possible, check in with Julie Roth in the HUB (MRC 332) prior to being seen. The Viterbo community is invited to a farewell reception for Margy Krogman, Director of Residence Life, on Friday, Jan. 21 from 2:30–3:30 p.m. in the Hawk’s Nest.

The first season of intramurals begins Jan. 31 and runs through March 2. Leagues include bowling, indoor soccer, and volleyball. Registration closes Thursday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. Register on IMLeagues.

The recreation department is hosting a drop-in 6-on-6 Dodgeball Tournament for students at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the Mathy Center. No registration required.

On Wednesday, jan. 19 from 5–5:30 p.m. a MLK Jr. Meditation session for students will be held in the Fine Arts Center Dance Studio. This session will focus on compassion, social justice, equity, and service. It will be facilitated using works of Martin Luther King Jr. and other influential Black leaders and artists.

Employees: The Franciscan Spirituality Center’s Busy Person’s Retreat begins Jan. 30. It is a retreat designed around employees’ schedules and is an excellent resource for those feeling disconnected and overwhelmed or are looking for extra support in their spiritual journey. HAWK WORKS brings together students and faculty from disciplines across campus to work on projects that benefit our community. They are currently accepting applications from non-engineering students for next year’s projects. IIT accepts work-tickets from employees and students, via an online system called Revelation Help Desk. This allows the end-user to submit ticket(s) for technology related issues (i.e. classroom problems, internet connectivity concerns, hardware/software glitches, form access questions, etc). It also contains a self-help knowledge base filled with common questions/answers, to allow the end-user to troubleshoot on their own (i.e. cell phone email setup, password questions, WiFi help, etc).
