HAWK WORKS brings together students and faculty from disciplines across campus to work on projects that benefit our community. They are currently accepting applications from non-engineering students for next year’s projects. See the HAWK WORKS webpage for details about the 2022–23 HAWK WORKS project and to submit an application.

The Viterbo community is invited to the 2nd Annual Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, Learning, and Celebration on Monday, Jan. 17. Formal classes on Jan. 17 are cancelled to encourage all students, staff, and faculty to participate in our campus activities, including a morning of service, lectures, panels, and workshops. Viterbo faculty and employees are invited to enjoy Dr. King’s favorite meal in The Cafeteria free of charge, courtesy of the President’s Office.            There’s still time register for a service project. Click here to sign up. The registration deadline is 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15.

           At 7 p.m. the La Crosse community will celebrate Dr. King by honoring local activists and Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington will present the keynote address at the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre. This event is also being livestreamed on the Viterbo Ethics Facebook page. The digital program for the event and the livestream link can be accessed here.

Employees: The Franciscan Spirituality Center’s Busy Person’s Retreat begins Jan. 30. It is a retreat designed around employees’ schedules and is an excellent resource for those feeling disconnected and overwhelmed or are looking for extra support in their spiritual journey.
