Coming up:

The Immigrant Journeys from South of the Border: ¡Mi travesía hasta Wisconsin! exhibit of photos and stories will at Viterbo Jan. 12–Jan. 26 in the Fine Arts Center atrium, lobby, and exhibit hallway. An event celebrating the exhibit will be held on Jan. 17 from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in the Caf. It will feature Latino music and conversation with members of immigrant communities in Wisconsin.

Employee reminder: A university forum will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre from 9–10:30 a.m. A continental breakfast will precede the forum at 8:30 a.m. in the FSPA Lobby. At 10:45–11:30 a.m. Marlene De La Cruz Guzman will present Social Justice, Equity, and Inclusion. Lillian Wanjagi will give a budget presentation from 1–2 p.m.

The Viterbo community is invited to save the date for the 2nd Annual Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, Learning, and Celebration on Monday, Jan. 17. Formal classes on Jan. 17 are cancelled to encourage all students, staff, and faculty to participate in our campus activities. The planning committee has created an engaging day that honors the life and legacy of Dr. King, including a light breakfast and blessing hosted by Campus Ministry, a morning of service with over 250 service sites in the local community, and an engaging afternoon of lectures, panels, and workshops. Physical Plant staff will be testing the fire sprinkler alarm systems throughout campus Wednesday, Jan. 12. This is a required quarterly test. The alarms will sound briefly in each building. There is no need to evacuate unless additional instructions are given. The process will begin at 7 a.m. in the academic buildings followed by the residence halls.
