The Advent season comes to a close at the end of this week. The final installment of the Advent retreat offered by the Office of Mission and Ministry can be accessed here. There will be no virtual gathering this week.
The Mathy Center will begin winter break hours on Monday, Jan. 4. Hours will be Monday and Tuesday, open 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Wednesday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Jan. 11–15 hours will be 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 16–17 will be 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
There will be winter break group fitness classes in January. The full schedule may be found here. Classes are free to all employees and students during break.
Emily Dykman will facilitate the next Virtual Book Club on Jan. 21 from 6–7:30 p.m. Participants should register in advance for Chasing Francis; A Pilgrim’s Tale by Ian Morgan Cron. ASL Class: In response to a student-led petition, Introduction to American Sign Language will be added to the spring schedule. The course will be offered virtually from 2:30–4 p.m. MW. Students interested in enrolling should look for the course listing LANG 286—Special topics ASL in the course search drop down menu in Vitnet.
