The academic and administrative mail will be distributed into mailboxes upon arrival, any time between 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Student mail will be delivered to the Student Union twice daily and distributed into student mailboxes at that time. All packages will be scanned upon arrival for tracking purposes. Packages can be checked out and picked up in the Copy and Mail Center from 7:30 a.m–5 p.m. Monday–Friday, except on holidays. An email notification will be sent to the recipient of all delivered packages. Everyone is asked to wait until you received a notification from the Copy and Mail Center before checking the status of your package.
Repairs will be made to Franciscan Way Aug 14–17, weather permitting. The north/south portion of the road will be closed from Aug. 14–17 and parking will not be available in that area. Parking will be available on the east/west portion of the road. Vehicle traffic will need to turn around at the 90 degree corner and go back toward the east (wrong way) and exit onto 10th street. The road will be opened Aug 18.
The Mathy Center hours for Aug. 17–29 can be found here. A reservation is required. Individuals may register for a time slot here. Fitness classes will also be offered daily. A schedule for classes is found on Recreation and Leadership home page. Space is limited. Individuals may reserve their spots here.
Viterbo logo masks are available in the bookstore. They will also soon be available on the bookstore website. One mask is $9.95, a two-pack is $18.95, and a neck gaiter is $20.
Employees: The president’s office will host Viterbo Campus Beautification Morning from 9 a.m.–noon Friday, Aug. 14. Up to 25 employee volunteers are welcome to spend the morning weeding, picking up trash, etc. in a designated area on campus. This activity is completely voluntary and participants will need the permission of their supervisor. Space will be limited to 25 volunteers, and a priority will be given to those individuals available for the entire time block. Email RSVP is required to Sheila Severson, who is coordinating the event, at smseverson@viterbo.edu. Wear appropriate clothing and bring your own gloves if you want them. Masks are required when social distancing is impossible.
The bookstore is now hiring temporary staff. Employment will run through Sept. 3. Flexible hours. To apply, go to www.folletthiring.com.
Viterbo faculty, staff, and experienced Service Saturday students: Site Leaders are needed for Orientation Service Saturday, Aug. 29. A site leader would serve as the main on-site contact for that service project. Site Leaders are expected to introduce themselves to the hosting organization’s staff and provide support/guidance for the students in that service group. This would also be a great way to genuinely connect with Viterbo’s newest students. The time commitment would be from approximately 8 a.m.–1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29. Communicate site leader interest to Colin at cgburnsgilbert@viterbo.edu by Aug. 17. He will follow up with more specific information about the role and the day.
Students: Confirm your enrollment for the fall term by either making a minimum payment of $500 toward your semester charges or by verifying with the business office that financial aid awarded for the semester covers all charges billed to your student account. The confirmation deadline is Friday, August 28.
