Tomorrow is the deadline to submit the survey if you participated in two Money Smart Week events. Students, if you participated in at least two Money Smart Week events last week, be sure to complete a short survey at VUMoneySmartWeek to be entered into a drawing for one of six MSW 2021 Grants*. Deadline to submit the survey is tomorrow, Tuesday, April 20, 8 a.m. *Each MSW 2021 Grant will be a tuition discount applied to a student’s fall 2021 bill. Students should contact the financial aid office to determine how this grant could impact their financial aid package.
The Viterbo Art Department is hosting a series of art workshops for the Viterbo community. Workshops are open to all Viterbo students, faculty, and staff. No art experience is necessary for any of the workshops. Space is limited, however, and registration is required. Workshops will be held on some Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and some Friday afternoons from 2–4 p.m. Register by sending your name and preferred workshop to sjlisota@viterbo.edu. Workshops for the Week of April 18–24: Quick Paint – Participants will work with acrylic paints to create an 11" x 14" painting. Linda Steine, Viterbo faculty, will lead this workshop on Thursday evening, April 22, from 6–8 p.m. in FAC 317. Space is limited to 15. Open Clay Studio: Try your hand in creating functional or sculptural forms in clay, on the potter's wheel or by hand-building them. Friday, April 23 from 2–4 p.m. in FAC 301. Space is limited to 10.

Volunteers are needed for Viterbo’s in-person commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 16. Two ceremonies are taking place at Logger’s field on the north side of La Crosse. Ushers, greeters, check ins, ticket takers are needed to successfully help our candidates celebrate. Course Update for Fall 2021 Registration: PHIL 486 – Just Food: Putting Ethics Back on the Table, a special topics course on food ethics will be offered for the first time in Fall 2021. The restriction of “junior standing and above” has just been removed. All majors welcome. This course will be offered as a philosophy and moral inquiry credit – pending approval later this spring. The courses asks: What is the relationship between the good life and good food? Between a just society and a just food system? Moving between the local and the global, the personal and the political, this course takes up the many and diverse ethical questions that attend to one of our most basic human activities: eating.
