Viterbo University's Platinum Edition Show Choir and Guests to Present "Platinum Edition: Halloween Spooktacular" Oct. 27

VITERBO UNIVERSITY’S PLATINUM EDITION SHOW CHOIR AND GUESTS TO PRESENT PLATINUM EDITION: HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR OCT. 27

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University’s outstanding Platinum Edition show choir and special guests will present an evening of great Halloween-themed singing and dancing as they present Platinum Edition: Halloween Spooktacular at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

“Halloween Spooktacular will feature audience favorites like Thriller, Monster Mash, and Time Warp and many new songs as well,” said Nancy Allen, Viterbo music department faculty member and director of Platinum Edition. “It’s a super fun show for the students, and it will be for audience members too.”

Additional numbers in the show will include Zombie Jamboree, Superstition, Memory from CATS, the Addams Family theme, and Transylvania Mania from Young Frankenstein.

The St. Patrick’s Elementary School Choir, under the direction of Linda Bechley, will be guest performers of A Dark and Stormy Night (Ode to Edgar Allen Poe). Matt Campbell, Viterbo music theatre faculty member, will sing Moondance. Campbell and his wife, Stephanie Harter Campbell, will sing a duet from the Broadway show Jekyll and Hyde. Platinum Edition members will perform several solos.

The Platinum Edition Band consists of Nancy Allen, Greg Balfany, Julie Duff, Steve Duff, Jeff Krauklis, Paul Leithold, Kurt Schuldes, Josh Shively, and George Von Arx. Choreographers are Nancy Allen, Skyler Erickson, Rose Lucas, Katina Walt, and Mike Weaver. Viterbo music theatre department faculty member Shane Rhoades is the co-director of Platinum Edition.

Platinum Edition is nationally known in show choir circles and has performed across the U.S. including New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, and Branson, Mo.
