VITERBO UNIVERSITY AND WESTERN TECHNICAL COLLEGE ANNOUNCE CO-ADMISSION AGREEMENT

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Officials at Western Technical College and Viterbo University have formally announced a new co-admission agreement for students beginning in the fall of 2020.

The agreement formalizes a new admissions process that allows students to be formally admitted to both Western and Viterbo at the same time, providing resources from both colleges and providing an easier process for students transferring from Western to Viterbo. Benefits of this agreement include working with an on-site transfer representative from Viterbo, a joint first-year experience, library and Learning Commons access at both institutions, as well as scholarship opportunities.

“We are very excited to further our outstanding relationship with Western Technical College and create more opportunities for students,” said Viterbo University President Glena Temple. “The co-admission model will provide a scholarship, credit transfer assurance, and access to resources at Viterbo while participating students are still at Western. We have 48 articulation agreements already, but this co-admission model simplifies the transfer process for students and makes the transition seamless.”

“Western and Viterbo continue to expand our outstanding partnerships, which is a win-win for us and our students,” said Western President Roger Stanford. “Students are getting on the right path quickly, providing a guaranteed pathway for students which builds community, eases the transition, and focuses on the student experience.”
