VITERBO UNIVERSTY AND BLACKHAWK TECHNICAL COLLEGE ANNOUNCE NEW 2+2 EDUCATION PROGRAM ARTICULATION AGREEMENT
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University and Blackhawk Technical College of Janesville have announced a new articulation agreement that will allow students to earn a behavior technician associates degree and an elementary education bachelor’s degree completely online in four years.
“This articulation agreement includes a cross-categorical special education minor, which is just the kind of license that the K–12 system is looking for,” said Deb Brovick, foundations of teacher education instructor at Blackhawk Technical College.
This 2+2 program will allow participants to become educators in K-12 schools or to work toward becoming a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
“We are very excited to partner with Blackhawk Technical College in offering a cost- effective pathway to teacher licensure in cross categorical special education and elementary education,” said Matt Johnson, interim executive director of the Viterbo School of Education. “Due to the current high demand for teachers, and in particular special education teachers, our students will have employment options throughout the state.”
