The D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership has awarded three Viterbo faculty members with research fellowships for the 2014–15 academic year:

Annette Roter, business: An exploration of how health care leadership impacts front line managers and their perceptions related to burnout, ethical decision making, work life, and job satisfaction.

Vickie Holtz-Wodzak, English: An examination of the role and responsibility of the writer of fiction in a time of war, focusing on the critical implications of Tolkien’s, The Return of Beorhtnoth, Beorhthelm’s Son.

Laura Nettles, FSPA, religious studies: The authenticity and relationship between Saint Francis’s Epistola ad Fideles and the Volterra Text.

Recipients of the fellowship are named “Fellows of the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership.”

The purpose of the research fellowships is to increase the amount and quality of research conducted at Viterbo related to ethics in leadership. It is expected that award recipients will produce publishable research that is also relevant to courses taught by the faculty member in existing or proposed programs.
