Office 365 is Here

Over the last year IIT has been utilizing office 365 mail for a number of Viterbo users. At the conclusion of Christmas break, all administrative offices will have been migrated. During the spring semester we will work on faculty and student account migrations. With Office 365, Viterbo employees and students can access the same great Office 365 tools that businesses around the world use every day, including:

  • Email and calendars: Cloud-based email and calendars powered by Microsoft Exchange Online using your viterbo.edu account, 50 GB storage per user.
  • Web conferencing: Rich online meetings with audio and video, desktop sharing, and virtual whiteboard. Excellent for distance learning using Microsoft Lync.
  • Office web apps: Create and edit Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft OneNote documents using your favorite web browser.
  • Access to storage: Using OneDrive Pro you’ll have cloud storage for up to 1TB of documents. You can also share documents with other Viterbo Office365 users for collaboration.

You will be contacted prior to the migration process. We anticipate that faculty will be moved by department grouping. Students will be migrated by year in school. If you are an Outlook user accessing your mail after the migration will be the same. If you are a Webmail (OWA) user, the URL location that you visit to log into your mail will change. After our migration is complete we will begin to offer collaboration tools training for users that would like to take advantage of the functionality services.
