"Talking About Death" Humanities Symposium Wednesday

Viterbo’s annual humanities symposium will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15 in the Fine Arts Center. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Talking about Death” and the Viterbo community is invited to attend. It is presented by the Viterbo College of Arts and Letters.

The schedule:

9:05 a.m.–10 a.m. Resource Fair (books, community resources, faculty scholarship posters, etc.) – Fine Arts Center Lobby

9 a.m.–6 p.m. Memory Wall (organized by VSNA, anyone may add to it throughout the day) – Fine Arts Center Lobby

10:10 a.m.–12:10 p.m. Main Session: Conversations Around Dying and Loss – Fine Arts Center Main Theater

1:25–2:30 p.m. Main Session: Practical Matters (medical examiner, social worker, hospice/palliative care worker, funeral director, interpreter, and advanced directive consultant) – Fine Arts Center Main Theater                 

2:40–3:10 p.m. Breakout Discussion (faculty-led discussions through various disciplinary lenses) – Various Locations

3:20–3:50 p.m. Breakout Discussion – Various Locations
