“STRAIGHT TALK ABOUT THE WISCONSIN ELECTIONS PROCESS” WITH WISCONSIN ELECTIONS ADMINISTRATOR MEAGAN WOLFE AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY SEPT. 17

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Join Wisconsin Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe and moderator John Smalley for “Straight Talk About the Wisconsin Elections Process” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Nola Starling Recital Hall.

Despite a solid track record of Wisconsin managing national, state, and local elections fairly, there has been much discussion about the 2020 election results. Recounts in Madison and Milwaukee, and a voting analysis by the conservative law firm Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty all affirmed the results. Still, as the November 2024 election draws near, some citizens continue to have questions about the 2020 election results.

This program will be a conversational review of the key elements in the Wisconsin elections process, including dialogue regarding the practices and safeguards of some of the key points in question.

Wolfe was unanimously confirmed by the Wisconsin Senate in 2019 to serve as the administrator of the nonpartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission. She served as interim administrator beginning in March 2018, during Scott Walker’s term as governor. She has conducted countless presentations on the Wisconsin electoral process, the photo ID law, and other registration rules and processes.

Smalley is the former executive editor of the Wisconsin State Journal and the La Crosse Tribune. He has more than 40 years of experience in the newspaper industry. Following his term with the Wisconsin State Journal, he provided media relations support for the Wisconsin Elections Commission.

This Constitution Day event is sponsored by The D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership at Viterbo University and LeaderEthics. It is free and open to the public.
