Do you have personal health and well-being goals or New Year’s resolutions? Turn those goals into accomplishments with the rec sports Healthy Hawks program. Healthy Hawks is a 12-week lifestyle development program that will touch on all aspects of well-being with an emphasis on the physical. Rec sports will provide a fun and healthy environment for you to learn and make lifestyle choices. There will be activities completed individually in addition to group activities to foster a sense of community. All abilities are encouraged to join.

The program runs Monday, Jan. 30–Friday, April 28. Registration runs until Friday, Feb. 3.

Healthy Hawks features:

  • an initial fitness assessment and five sessions with a personal trainer (approximately one session every two weeks)
  • nutrition assessment and counseling (with dietetics students)
  • information on proper goal setting and journal keeping
  • fitness center and equipment orientation
  • weekly group workouts and opportunities to attend selected group fitness classes (classes will be announced)
  • nutrition education and workshops
  • other educational sessions
