Service Saturdays Kicks Off Feb. 27

Thursday, February 11, 2016

Viterbo’s new Service Saturdays initiative seeks to expose and connect students with one-time, reflective service opportunities in our local community. Consider encouraging students in your courses to take advantage of these service opportunities. While the focus is on students, faculty and staff are invited to participate as well.

“We are excited to be partnering with local organizations and initiatives like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, Place of Grace, Salvation Army, Children’s Museum, and the City of La Crosse Mayor’s Neighborhood Conference to provide these opportunities,” said Kirsten Gabriel.

Service Saturdays will start at 8 a.m. with a send off from Fr. Conrad Targonski or Emilio Alvarez, followed by service at various locations from 8:30 a.m.–noon, and conclude with a free lunch and guided reflection back on campus from noon–1 p.m. Click to sign up or for more information. Questions?
