A graduate of West Salem High School in his or her senior year at Viterbo will be the beneficiary of a generous new scholarship named in memory of Jonathan Hinck.
Jonathan’s sister, Caroline, and her husband Kristjan Sells established the Jonathan H. Hinck Memorial Scholarship as a means to honor and celebrate his dedication to Viterbo University.
Hinck was employed as the Collection Management Librarian at Viterbo from 1999 until his passing in July 2014.
According to Gary Klein, institutional advancement, “Jonathan is remembered for his enthusiasm for the archives, his dedication to the library, and his concern for students. He very much enjoyed working with his students and helping them in their educational and professional careers.”
To be eligible for the scholarship, the graduate of West Salem High School will have earned enough credits for senior status at Viterbo, be in good academic standing and enrolled full time, and have a demonstrated financial need.
