It is the beginning of the Ver Sacrum (Sacred Spring Time) and campus ministry has created several opportunities for the campus community to find additional times for reflection and contemplation during Lent.
San Damiano Chapel Schedule for Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18:
- 7:30 a.m. Mass
- 11:45 a.m. Interfaith Prayer Service (scripture readings and distribution of ashes)
- 5:15 p.m. Mass
- 9 p.m. Taize Prayer Service (will also include distribution of ashes)
Classes will end at 11:30 a.m. and will resume at 12:30 p.m. to permit service attendance.
Alternative options for Mass will also include:
- 11:15 a.m. St. Rose Convent
- 12:15 p.m. at Mayo Clinic, Francisan Healthcare Chapel
Campus Ministry will also be hosting weekly events during Lent.
4:30 p.m. Mondays in Brophy Center 123, Lenten Supper and Scripture. Basic soups and bread will be served.
9 p.m. Wednesdays in San Damiano Chapel, Taize Prayer Service
1–9 p.m. Thursdays in San Damiano Chapel, Eucharistic Adoration. Everyone is encouraged to sign up for a half hour to one hour time slots of prayer and contemplation.
9 p.m. Thursdays in San Damiano Chapel, Franciscan Devotion to the Passion of the Cross.
There will be no Daily Mass or weekly events during Spring Break (March 9–13).
