REDUCED SHAKESPEARE COMPANY TO PRESENT THE COMPLETE WORLD OF SPORTS ABRIDGED AT
VITERBO MARCH 12
LA
CROSSE, Wis. – Laugh out loud with the critically acclaimed Reduced
Shakespeare Company as they return to Viterbo University to present The Complete World of Sports Abridged at
7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
From the earliest cavemen playing
“Neanderthal in the Middle” to your own children’s soccer practice, the Reduced
Shakespeare Company will explore the entire history of athletic competition in
a sophisticated and physical theatre style only they can provide. The show is
described as “a marathon of madness and mayhem as the world’s greatest sporting
events are shrunk down to theatrical size.”
“I loved it! It is smart, funny—even
unexpectedly moving,” said critic Scott Simon of National Public Radio.
The Complete
World of Sports Abridged is part of
Viterbo’s NexStar Season and is sponsored in part by a grant from the Wisconsin
Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment
for the Arts. The La Crosse Tribune is
the media sponsor.
Tickets are $36 for main floor, $32 for lower
balcony, and $27 for upper balcony seating. For more information or to order
tickets, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or visit www.viterbo.edu/tickets.
