Karen Hurtgen, chair of the Viterbo Environmental Responsibility Committee, held a collection of electronics and other items to be recycled the week of Jan. 6–10. The truckload of items was then hauled to the City of La Crosse recycling event Jan. 11. The city event resulted in 14,000 pounds of materials being collected.
