RAGTIME THE MUSICAL AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY APRIL 20
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Celebrate life with Phoenix Entertainment as they present the hit Tony Award®-winning musical Ragtime at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
At the dawn of a new century, everything is changing—and anything is possible. The stories of an upper-class wife, a determined Jewish immigrant, and a daring young Harlem musician are set to a rich and glorious score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens. The book was written by Terrence McNally and is based on E.L. Doctorow’s best-selling 1975 novel.
Winning for Best Book and Best Musical Score, this 13 time Tony Award® nominated musical has been described as a timeless celebration of life, what it could and should be.
“Explosive and thrilling!” wrote a reviewer with Bloomberg News. “Theater-shaking intensity...a vibrant production. Ragtime is nothing short of a masterpiece.”
