Board of Trustees Meeting Oct. 17

The fall meeting of the university’s Board of Trustees will take place Monday, Oct. 17. Please welcome the trustees if your paths cross and extend your gratitude for their service and financial support. One hundred percent of trustees make an annual contribution through the Annual Trustees Opportunity Fund. Total gifts to this fund since its inception in 2008 exceed $2.3 million. This does not include the generous support of trustees to building projects and special campaigns.

Major action items scheduled for the fall meeting include:

  • Acceptance of the Audited Financial Statements for FY 201516. As in past years, a copy of the statements will be placed on reserve in the library.
  • Approval of the 2016-17 Operating Budget. The preliminary budget presented to the board in January was modified slightly in May. There are no substantive changes to the modified budget presented to the trustees in May.
  • Presentation of Candidates for Tenure
  • Approval of the goals for the 2016-17 Annual Trustees Opportunity Fund.
