The Power of Music

Syrian composer Wassim Ibrahim recently spent two weeks in La Crosse sharing his music and personal stories of unrest in his homeland. Ibrahim’s music was featured at a Syrian Refugee Benefit Concert that raised $2,000 for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops refugee resettlement programs. Ibrahim is pictured with the Viterbo Concert Choir, director Jean Saladino, and faculty sponsor Mary Ellen Haupert.
