The Viterbo community is invited to attend a screening of the documentary Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8 in the School of Nursing Building room 195.

Plastic Paradise chronicles Angela Sun’s journey to Midway Atoll to uncover the truth behind the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Sun encounters scientists, celebrities, legislators, and activists who discuss what the vast consumption of disposable plastic is doing to the oceans and how it may be affecting human health.

The event is presented by the Viterbo Environmental Sustainability Club.
