ONE-OF-A-KIND CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES TO OPEN WITH CZECH
MATES AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY SEPT. 21

CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University One-of-a-Kind Chamber Music Series
will open with Czech Mates at 7:30
p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

            Czech Mates is a program of
four-hand piano music performed by music faculty members Timothy Schorr and
Mary Ellen Haupert. The all-Czech recital will feature Dussek’s Grande Sonata, Smetana’s Vltava (The
Moldau
), and a selection of Slavonic Dances by Antonin Dvo?ák.

Audience members will
also be treated to readings from University of Minnesota professor Patricia
Hampl’s book, Spillville. The readings will be done Viterbo faculty
members David Gardiner and Beth Marzoni.
