The 2015 Nursing Career Fair will be held Thursday, Nov. 5 from 12:30–3:30 p.m. in the School of Nursing Building room 195 and Lobby. Nurse recruiters from over 25 regional health care facilities will be on campus to share information about available internship and employment opportunities.
All junior and senior nursing students are encouraged to attend the fair. It will provide opportunities to explore the job market, practice engaging in conversations with professional recruiters, and gather leads related to potential internships or nursing positions.
First-year and second-year nursing students are invited to increase familiarity with career fairs and explore CNA and other caregiver positions at several local facilities seeking CNAs.
Students should bring copies of employer-ready resumes to the fair. Two resume presentations are scheduled for nursing students prior to the fair:
- Thursday, Oct. 22 from 4–5 p.m. in the School of Nursing Building room 202
- Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 5-6 p.m. in the School of Nursing Building room 104
Drop-in assistance is available at resume check-up booths held in the School of Nursing Building Lobby. Interested nursing students should bring a hard copy of their resume for critique by career services staff members to a booth on one of these days and times:
- Thursday, Oct. 29 from 4–5 p.m.
- Monday, Nov. 2 from 4–5:30 p.m.
