Vernon County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Malin was looking to try something new. He found the perfect opportunity as Viterbo’s director of campus safety.
“Viterbo has an exciting atmosphere and I’m looking forward to being involved in the campus community,” he said.
Malin spent six years as a sheriff’s deputy and also worked as police officer in Cashton and Westby. He served as a volunteer firefighter, has experience as a K-9 handler, and was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. He is a graduate of Western Technical College.
“Adam comes to Viterbo with wonderful recommendations,” said Diane Brimmer, vice president for student development. “He is known by his colleagues as the best deputy in Vernon County and as being honest, extremely likable, and hard working.”
In his off time, Malin enjoys the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.
Malin encourages everyone to let him know of any safety concerns or issues. Feel free to call him at 796-3913, email, or visit any time.
“My door is always open,” said Malin, who greatly enjoyed working with high school students during his time in law enforcement. “Or stop me on campus and say hi.”
