If you find that you need to record a presentation and share it online, but don’t know where to start, the library and instructional design have put together resources to help you. Whether you plan to use a product such as PowerPoint, present on camera, or just record your voice are all factors that determine what process you need to follow. In addition to multiple options for recording, there are also many options for sharing your presentation, such as OneDrive or YouTube. Faculty and staff have access to Ensemble, which allows users to share video, pictures, and audio files with students. You can also set up a dropbox for students to submit videos for a course.
If you are looking to record the presentation with a video camera or via an iPad, the library offers those items (and tripods to hold them) for checkout. If you want to find out the best way to record a PowerPoint presentation, check out the technology guides available via the top menu when you log into Moodle:
If you have questions about recording equipment, contact the library at library2@viterbo.edu or call ext. 3269. If you have questions regarding the best way to share a presentation, email coursehelp@viterbo.edu.
