The American College of Sports Medicine guidelines recommend at least 150 minutes of activity per week—that’s only 30 minutes of exercise five days per week. Rec Sports is challenging you to Move for 30 and accumulate your 150 minutes of exercise each week.
Participants who log and submit 150 minutes of exercise each week will win prizes such as a T-shirt, fruit infuser water bottle, mug, and more. One grand prize will be raffled off to anyone who met a weekly goal. The grand prize will be a certificate for a massage from a local spa.
Your job is simple, be active (at least 15 minutes) and log the time that you spent exercising each day. Turn in your log by the following Monday at 5 p.m. to receive your weekly prize. Logs can be turned in via Google Form or on paper. A log will be sent to all participants.
To register, visit the Mathy Center or fill out your mailbox insert and send back via interdepartmental mail. Cost is $5 to participate, which must be in before you receive your first prize. The challenge begins Monday, Oct. 31 and registration is open now through Friday, Nov. 4.
