Over 150 college students from Viterbo, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and Western Technical College came together Oct. 17 for the tri-campus Make a Difference Day in La Crosse. The purpose of the event is to bring people within the community together and build relationships while volunteering. They gathered at Weigent Park and then were disbursed to over 14 agencies to assist with meeting a variety of community needs. Afterward, they gathered back at Weigent Park for free food and raffle prize drawings. Although the event took place for one day, the impact on participating college students and community members will hopefully last much longer. Pictured are members of the Viterbo Nursing Association.
