The Center for Student Success has moved the Majors and Minors Fair to the fall semester to better aid students in declaring a major or adding a minor. The theme of this year’s fair is Halloween. It will take place on Oct. 26 from 2:30–4:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Lobby. Faculty and students from all disciplines will be available for students to ask questions and acquire information.
Students who attend will have a chance to win one of two $25 gift cards to the bookstore. Additional entries can be obtained by visiting department tables and by wearing a costume to the fair.
Faculty members are encouraged to promote the fair to their students. While most Viterbo students have chosen a major, many are not aware of the benefits a minor can add to their experience. Minors allow students to customize their degree by placing emphasis on an additional subject of interest. A minor can also help differentiate a student’s resume during the job application process.
The goal is to make this annual event informative, helpful, and fun. Autumn-themed refreshments will be served.
