Viterbo Students and Employees:

Viterbo University officials were notified today that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual is currently quarantined as per La Crosse County protocols. Two additional employees were exposed to this individual and will be tested immediately. They will also self-isolate at their homes until test results are received. We do not consider any additional on-campus residents or employees to be at risk. Custodial staff are providing additional cleaning to the area that may have been affected.

Please join me in keeping this individual and all those affected by COVID-19 in our prayers and extending our most sincere best wishes for a complete recovery.

Everyone is asked to remember that in accordance with health care guidelines, and because it is the right thing to do, the privacy of these individuals needs to be maintained. Thank you for helping balance their privacy with our commitment to keep the Viterbo community informed.

While this is a sobering reminder to be attentive, serious and engaged regarding the steps we need to take as a community to care for and protect one another, we will persevere because of who we are as a Viterbo community. We appreciate your continued support as we work together to navigate this fluid, unprecedented period. For university updates regarding COVID-19, visit https://www.viterbo.edu/moving-forward-viterbo/covid-19-coronavirus-information.
