The Viterbo community is invited to join Sue Hauser, fine arts, for a presentation on non-traditional musical instruments from 12:20–12:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29 in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

Hauser will demonstrate how to play a variety of non-traditional musical instruments, such as:

• fiddle and fiddlesticks


• musical saw 


• the spoon family


• bedpan


• turkey baster


• medicine dropper


• humanatone (AKA nose flute, nose whistle, or snoot flute)

“I’ll also talk about a little about categorization of instruments,” she said. “This is a very interesting website. Well, I guess maybe only some of us find it fascinating."
