There is detriment to health with time in a seated position for more than 25 minutes. General health recommendations call for 150 minutes/week of moderate to vigorous exercise with durations of activities no shorter than 10 minutes to accrue health benefits. Break up your sitting time with 10 minutes of walking twice a day. Another health benefit is to increase your water intake. The daily recommended water intake is around 100 ounces. Goal
Decrease duration of health detrimental sitting time by adding 10-minute walking bouts twice a day. Increase daily water intake closer to recommended 80–120 oz.
Requirements
- 10 ounces of water, 10 times a day
- 10 minutes of walking, 10 times a week

Earn a minimum of 55 points/week to be entered into weekly prize drawing.
Point Break Down
- 10 ounces of water = 1 point

- Walking minutes must be completed Monday–Friday; recommended twice/day

Tracking
Participants will enter their information at least once a week by Monday morning of the following week using an Internet form. Weekly emails will be sent with tips and tricks to incorporate health benefits into your day and to remind you to log your points.
