Molly Backman, elementary education major, was nominated by the Midwest Wisconsin Reading Association for the Outstanding Pre-service Teacher of the Year award. Backman was presented this high honor at the Wisconsin State Reading Association Conference Feb. 5 in Milwaukee. The award included full scholarship to the three-day conference. She earned this award based on her many letters of recommendation that clearly described her dedication and desire to help all of her future students become successful readers and writers.
