First Friday Prayer Begins Sept. 4; Adoration with the FSPA Sept. 7

Thursday, August 27, 2015

The Viterbo Mission Effectiveness Committee has approved two events designed to reinforce the university’s Franciscan heritage and the core value of contemplation.

The Viterbo community is invited to attend First Friday Prayer Service from 8–8:45 a.m. the first Friday of each month in San Damiano Chapel. The interfaith service will be welcoming to all faith traditions.

Employees and students are also invited to join the members of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration for an hour of adoration anytime from 4–6 p.m. the first Monday of each month in the adoration chapel at St. Rose Convent. Employees may be excused up to an hour of work time to participate.

Employees are expected to request permission to participate from their supervisor to assure that offices are adequately staffed and work assignments managed in the participant’s absence. Students are welcome to attend, but they are not excused from classes to permit participation.
