As we near the start of the semester, it’s time to start booking those meetings. The library has quiet and convenient spaces for everyone. Our collaborative technology room is particularly useful for meetings. Sign up the day of use at the main desk or reserve in advance at the main desk or call 608-796-3269 or email library2@viterbo.edu. We talked to Beth Dolder-Zieke to hear why and how she uses some of our library spaces.

Q. How have you used the library study rooms?

A. I’ve used them for hosting resume review sessions, recruiter interviews, and staff meetings.

Q. Which study rooms/spaces do you use and why?

A. For resume reviews, we used the one right across from the circulation desk, primarily because of its visibility. For interviews and staff meetings, we used a room that was more secluded and quiet.

Q. How did you learn about the library study spaces?

A. Probably at a directors meeting through Gretel Stock-Kupperman.

Q. Have you utilized other spaces on campus or just the library?

A. We utilize a wide variety of campus spaces for our programming.

Q. What made you choose the library as a meeting space?

A. It was easy to reserve, I knew it would suit my needs, and the library staff is awesome.

Q. How does the library space contribute to your goal or activity?

A. Relatively high visibility in a central location contributes to possible increased attendance at events. I use the screen. It’s great for resume reviews.

Q. Do you use other library services either in conjunction with our study spaces or as services separate from your study room activities?

A. I use interlibrary loan.
