Think Outside the Shelf: eBooks

The library collection now contains over 200,000 eBooks, all searchable and accessible through the library’s catalog. Over the past few years, this fast-growing collection has doubled in size and contains titles covering a multitude of scholarly topics that students and faculty use in their research.

Searching for eBooks is identical to searching for any other type of resource in the library catalog. By using the search screen on our main page, you may type in keywords, subject headings, titles, or author names. Limit your results on the left-hand side of the page to “eBooks.”

When opening an eBook, you should click on the “view now” link. Then enter the book contents by clicking on the full text links.

EBooks are identical to print books with their content, but they have the bonus feature of searchable text. Printing of some of the content is allowed. Although some of our titles are limited to one person viewing it at a time, the majority have an unlimited number of viewers available. You may download the book—or check it out—to your own computer or e-reader. The library has a guide with instructions on how to do this.
